Challenge Overview

Eligibility and Registration

• Open to students aged 17-25 years old from the following academic institutions:
  • University Brunei Darussalam
  • Universiti Teknologi Brunei
  • Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali
  • Institute of Brunei Technical Education
  • Politeknik Brunei
  • Kemuda Institute
  • Laksamana College of Business
  • International Graduate Studies College
  • Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology
• Fresh graduates who completed their studies in 2018 are also welcome
• Each student may only join one team
• Each team must consist of two students from the same institution
• Each team may have up to 3 students.

Champion — Cash Prize BND1000, Internship Opportunity with Baiduri Capital Sdn Bhd and Progresif 12-Months Unlimited Data Mobile Plan worth over BND1000 for each team member

1^st Runner Up— Cash Prize BND600

2^nd Runner Up — Cash Prize BND400

3^rd Runner Up — Cash Prize BND300

4^th Runner Up — Cash Prize BND200

Top 10 teams will be awarded Commemorative Coins

Weekly Attractive Prizes for Top-Ranked Teams (Determined by investment returns) on 5^th October, 12^th October and 19^th October

Roadshow Schedule

Challenge Format & Rules

• Investment capital of BND1,000,000.00
• Minimum of 10 securities in portfolio at any point in time
• Minimum purchase amount of BND50,000.00 equivalent but no minimum amount for selling
• 60:40 bond-equity allocation (with 10% variation allowed)
• Buy/sell orders to be submitted using template provided
• Trading day on Wednesdays only (starting 24 May 2017)
• Final valuation of portfolio will be based on 16 June 2017 end of day pricing
• No hedging, no brokerage fee, no tax & FX rates are constant

Investment Universe

• 100 securities comprising:
  — US NYSE, NASDAQ & NYSEMKT (equities)
  — SG SGX (equities, retail bonds and wholesale bonds)
  — MY Bursa Malaysia (equities)

Quantitative & Qualitative Judging Criteria

• Portfolio performance over 4-week period
• Investment strategy
• Diversification focus

PRIZES

First Prize

• Individual trophies for each participant in the team
• 5-day attachment program for all 4 participants at Lion Global Investors Limited head office, Singapore

Second Prize

• Individual trophies for each participant in the team
• 3-month internship with 2 participants each in Baiduri Capital and BIBD Securities
